BrickFair 2013, Part One
This was my second year at BrickFair, and it was so fantastic, I decided to split my photo update into multiple parts. And unlike last year, I brought a decent camera! So prepare yourself for the coolest LEGO models you've ever seen.
This year, we begin with castles.
Erebor from The Hobbit. This got my vote for the best model.
The city of Dale, sitting in the shadow of the Lonely Mountain.
Thranduil and his elves, when they aren't running away from dragons.
Legend has it the kingdom was named Erebor because somebody wrote it on the side of the mountain.
They even created the interior on the backside of the model.
This model was built with a special trick in mind.
The library from Myst, which is neither a castle nor a reference people under 30 will understand.
LEGO angels fighting LEGO demons in Hell. So yeah, that happened.
A massive LEGO castle.
In another castle model, there's a happy feast with no murdering or double-crossing Freys.
Outside the hall, there's a nice little cottage and waterfall.
ApocaLEGO is back.
Zombies, why did it have to be zombies?
This neighborhood has seen better days.
There's some riot control going on.
A view of the other side of the model.
These two are hiding from trouble.
Continued in Part Two.
